What is Inbound Marketing?

The ‘Inbound Marketing’ is a methodology to work the online marketing/communication/branding through a communication strategy, based in attracting public to a website ( landing page, social media, etc.), using appealing contents, published in different media, using assorted tactics but always in a ‘non push way’*.

If you just attract public to your website, you may help your SEO, and indirectly you may get some Leads and very few MQLs (Marketing Qualified Leads); but if your content is ‘value content’ for your Target Market, then you will get more leads and a higher rate of MQLs - potential customers or customers (if you have an ecommerce platform).

Some Tips to work Inbound Marketing:

1. Need to know your target needs, wants, habits… and then focus in everything related with your product/services and how they solve your target problems.
2. Prepare a list of keyword phrases the public use to search services/product like yours and all related with your sector/industry.
3. Make a list of subjects you should write about, as per your previous findings (1 and 2).
4. Prepare a headline using a keyword phrase, a set of three keyword phrases related for tagging (images and post) and using in the main text and titles.
5. Write a compelling content and try to use those keyword phrases too.
6. Find or make good infographics to illustrate your text (images and graphics) and tag them using same keyword phrases.

DEVELOPING VALUE CONTENT

  • Write compelling contents as per the target market needs, pains, wants, interests.
  • Come up with a Head Line that is good SEO whise.
  • Find the right images and graphics/schemas (infographic) , upload them and tag them properly.
  • Introduce the right links and call to actions to other Social Media, website or Landing Page.
  • Design the layout on and appealing way
  • Use the keyword phrases of your planning and tag / index properly.
  • Ensure there are assorted ways to contact you at each moment
  • Design and place in a hosting a Landing page if needed.
